Monday Donuts

So I was wrong. The medical certificates are not going to work :((( They changed the dates and literally copied the old ones from last July. And, they did not print on letterhead this time. These two things were correct in round #2 but not in round #3. I was so consumed checking that every field was completed, that I oversaw the fact that a letterhead wasn’t used. I also misunderstood the fact that dates have to be current (even HIV and Syphilis tests) and thought that the notary date was what mattered.

So Monday morning, I’ll heed Rachel’s advice as given in the previous post’s comments, and go personally to the office and take some goodies with me. Everyone around here loves donuts and kolaches, so I’ll get a couple of boxes and head to their office. Cathy suggested I fill out everything myself, so I did that and made sure the form has enough empty space at the top so it can be photocopied onto a letterhead, printed and checked them AT LEAST 100 times, and we’ll see if they’ll let me wait to get them notarized right there. I’m not holding my breath that this is going to be successful, but that’s all I can do. If they complete them, I’ll take the 3 hour drive to Austin to get the dossier Apostilled and mailed. Stay tuned.

I know, incredible! How do you like Homer? Hehe, had to infuse some humor into this. You can't take it too seriously or you'll drive yourself doh-nuts!

This is an amazing story of red tape and frustration! Hopefully the end result will be worth it! :) I work for donuts, I hope others do too! It certainly can't hurt! In fact a batch of my chocolate chip cookies expedited the tech person to come to look at my crashed computer.... Good luck guys!

Hey Janienne! I see that you started blogging ;) I don't know who wouldn't bend over backwards for those cookies haha. I'm sure that when it's all said and done, it'll be worth it and we'll read our postings, look at Homer eating the giant donut and cherish the memories :)
