I cannot believe it’s been almost a year since we met our kids. When we look back at the first pictures, we can’t help but see how much they’ve grown. It’s kinda hard to imagine the house without them, or mornings without waking them up, feeding them breakfast and taking them to school. And then there’s the mischief. Ohhh the mischief!

Today we went to a Mother’s Day brunch and had a good time. Yesterday Isabella and I washed the car as it really needed it and wanted to have something clean to drive today. She was very excited to help out. As long as there’s water, you don’t have to struggle much to get her attention. I still can’t trust Isaac outside while working as he’ll wander around, but he’s improved so much that I don’t think it’ll take much longer before we won’t feel like having to be constantly tied to him in some way (ie: holding hands or having him sit in our lap). Over the last two weekends Isabella has also enjoyed spending time out in the backyard “helping” me as I cleaned out and cut the overgrown bushes. We had some debris from the old fence since Ike. Last year was so busy with getting things ready for our trip and some side work etc. that everything else had to wait. A couple more weekends of work and the outside will be back up to snuff.

Isaac will soon start a summer program. He’s been steadily improving in school and has been quite social with new kids, helping out and welcoming them etc. Seems like he’s over previous behavior. His seizures are still lingering and now Mothers Day3we’re back to around a 5 week frequency. This week we started a supplemental medication as we cannot push his current one further. We also have an appointment on the 28th with an Epileptologist. Hopefully we can learn something new to help him out with.
